Devon’s Good Food Strategy 2023-2028
Devon’s Good Food Strategy 2023-2028 was produced collaboratively by the Devon Food Partnership steering group and seeks to be representative and inclusive of all parts of the food system. It is broken into six sections based on Sustainable Food Places’ six key themes and identifies the key strategic priorities for Devon’s food system. The Partnership is now working with key stakeholders to undertake, encourage, and facilitate action to address these priorities.

Strategy launch event
We launched our Strategy at an in person event in February 2023. Nearly 50 stakeholders from around the county gathered to hear presentations on each of the six themes, participate in breakout discussions, and explore a marketplace of local food organisations, projects, and initiatives. Feedback from the event was gathered and presented to the Partnership steering group and has been used to shape the direction of activity.
Annual reporting
To help measure progress in addressing the Strategy’s priorities, we will produce annual reports at the end of each financial year to highlight some key achievements of the Partnership and other stakeholders.
These serve as an opportunity to reflect on each year of activity, celebrate key successes, and look ahead to the next steps for the Partnership and wider Devon food system.
