A new fund to tackle food waste has been launched by environmental charity Hubbub in partnership with Starbucks.

The Eat it Up fund aims to support creative and innovative projects that reduce food waste. Grants of up to £40,000 are available to organisations across the UK.

Successful projects will need to do one or more of the following:

  • Address pre-farmgate waste
  • Prevent food from being wasted at the manufacturing and processing stage
  • Minimise food waste from retailers
  • Find creative ways to use surplus food in communities or at home

The fund can support ideas that are ready to test, or concepts that have been tested and are ready to progress further.

The deadline for expressions of interest is 9am, Monday 19th June 2023. Read more on the Eat it Up fund website.
