From March 21st until Sunday, April 3rd 2022, Tesco stores in Devon will give a donation when customers buy fruit and vegetables in store or at Tesco.com to help children suffering food insecurity.
The money donated by Tesco from sales of all types of fruit and vegetables will enable its food redistribution charity partner FareShare to help thousands of children’s charities who rely on regular donations to help families and young people in local communities.
Tesco stores in towns including Barnstaple, Ilfracombe and Bideford are all part of the scheme.
Last summer, the scheme funded over 8,000 meals for children and supported over 60 charities on the frontline, working to tackle food insecurity.
