To mark His Majesty The King’s Coronation, thousands of organisations across the country are getting together to give us all the chance to help out in our own local communities.
The Big Help Out is a voluntary initiative which aims to raise awareness of volunteering throughout the UK and provide opportunities for people to make a difference in their communities. It is supported by some of the UK’s biggest volunteer organisations, including the Scouts and the Royal Voluntary Service, as well as the Shaping the Future with Volunteering group of the UK’s leading volunteer-involving charities.
Starting on Monday 8th May, there will be opportunities for everyone to join in, including businesses, individuals, and organisations. There are lots of different ways to get involved in a number of different volunteering categories including Community, Health & Social Care, and Sustainability & Environment. Volunteers can spend as much time as they feel able.
